Bone Char 0-16-0 (6 LB JUG)
Bone Char 0-16-0 is an all-natural, concentrated source of phosphorus and calcium designed to support strong root development, flowering, fruiting and overall plant health.
Made from calcined (kilned) bone, Bone Char provides more than 16% available phosphate along with approximately 33% calcium. Phosphorus plays an important role in root development, flower and fruit production and the establishment of young plants, while calcium contributes to strong plant growth and healthy soil fertility.
Bone Char is especially useful when preparing garden beds, planting seedlings and transplants, and establishing fruit trees, shrubs and flowering plants. Because it contains no nitrogen, it is also a great option when your soil needs additional phosphorus without encouraging excessive leafy growth.
Yard Farm Bermuda promotes natural soil amendments like Bone Char because they allow you to target the nutrients your soil and plants actually need while supporting a more natural approach to growing.
Great For:
Seedlings and transplants, vegetable gardens, flowering plants, fruiting crops, fruit trees, shrubs and soils that require additional phosphorus and calcium.
General Application Guide:
For transplants, mix approximately ¼ cup into the planting hole, thoroughly blending it with the surrounding soil before planting.
For established gardens, application rates should ideally be based on the phosphorus needs of your soil.

AVAILABLE PHOSPHATE (P₂O₅).................. 16.0%
TOTAL PHOSPHATE........................................ 32.0%

Derived From: Calcined (kilned) bone.
Good to Know:
Phosphorus can build up in soil over time, so more is not always better. Bone Char is best used when establishing new plants or when your soil requires additional phosphorus. A soil test can help determine whether extra phosphorus is needed.
